Design

Nature is both our inspiration and model for the organic design language that is reflected in each of our lights. Blending harmonious materials and texture, shades can elegantly be combined with one another.

Light

The translucency of our individual shades create a warm atmosphere that harmoniously fills any room. Freedom in the choice of light bulb offers full flexibility in the desired brightness and lighting mood.

Magnetic

Our unique, functional, magnetic system makes it easy to assemble and clean the shades. It also means designs can be replaced with a quick turn of the wrist.

Material

A sustainable biopolymer enriched with natural raw resources is the base to produce our lamp shades. We currently offer three material options: White, Natural and Wood. All our materials have a natural feel and soft translucency.

3D Print

Our printing process was specially designed and developed by our in-house team to create our extremely high-quality product. The precise and delicate fabrication of our shades using natural resources is unique in the industry. The production process creates near to zero material waste. Each shade is made to order and lovingly finished by hand.

Enviroment

With a focus on sustainability, all our shades are created from natural raw materials. The base material is a biopolymer. The custom production process causes almost no material waste. Our aim is to operate and produce sustainably.

Clean

The functional magnetic assembly system of our lights allows for easy dusting and cleaning. The shades can be put under water if you want to give them a deep clean.

Illuminant

All shades have a standard E27 bulb holder, which gives you flexibility in choosing your source of light. The evenly light translucence of the shades gives you additional freedom in selecting your desired brightness and mood of light. If you prefer to change the atmosphere from time to time, dimmable light bulbs are also compatable.

Manufactory

Polyluma perfectly blends modern technology with traditional craftmanship. Every light is 3D printed to order, in a uniquely developed process, hen carefully finished by hand in our manufacturing studio in Berlin, Germany.
